Start with who it is for

The honest division is between people you know well and people you do not. For someone whose tastes you know, a single sweet in a 250g box is a better gift than an assortment — it says you picked something rather than grabbed a hamper. If they are particular about sugar

A lot of Diwali gifting goes to households that have quietly stopped eating shop mithai. Everything we make is without refined sugar and without jaggery — the sweetness comes from dates, figs, honey and monk fruit. If that is the reason you are looking, we have written about what goes in instead.

When to order

Four to five weeks before the festival is comfortable. Three is fine. The last ten days are when courier networks across India are at their worst and when every sweet shop is running at capacity, and it is the week where a delayed parcel stops being an inconvenience and starts being an embarrassment.

You have the room to do this. Our bites and boxes keep for three months from the date they are made, so ordering in the middle of October for a festival in November is not early — it is simply organised. The shelf life post has the numbers product by product.

Sending to several addresses

If the boxes are going to fifteen different houses, do not try to do it through fifteen separate orders on the website. Message us on WhatsApp with the list and we will handle it as one order — it is less work for you, and it means we can stagger dispatch so nothing sits at a courier hub over the weekend.

If it is going to an office

A note on the packaging

We also sell gift packaging on its own — paper gift bags, hamper boxes, potli bags and wooden boxes — for people assembling their own hampers.
