Wedding and bulk orders: how we quote, and what to plan for
Large orders do not work like a checkout. There is no price on the site for three hundred boxes because the honest answer depends on things we cannot know until you tell us. Here is what those things are, so the first message you send us is a useful one.

The four things we need
- Quantity — roughly how many boxes, and whether that is one batch or staggered.
- The date — specifically, the last date it can arrive and still be useful.
- Where it is going — one address, or many.
- Packaging — our boxes, or something from the gift packaging ranges, or something you are supplying.
With those four we can usually come back the same day with a number you can take to whoever approves it.
Why packaging is quoted separately
Because it varies more than the sweets do. We sell paper gift bags, hamper boxes, potli bags and a range of wooden hamper boxes, bought in and sold empty for people assembling their own hampers. The right one for a wedding is rarely the right one for a corporate order, and the price moves with quantity and with what is going inside. Both catalogues are on the gifting page.
We do not publish rates for them for the same reason. A number on a page would be wrong for most of the orders that read it.
The timeline to work backwards from
Start at the date the boxes need to be in hand and subtract, in this order: courier transit, dispatch, packing, and making. For a large order the making is the part people underestimate, because these are small batches rather than a production line.
The good news is that shelf life gives you room. Three months for the bites and boxes means a wedding order can be made comfortably ahead rather than in a panic the same week. What it does not give you is room to decide late — the constraint is our kitchen, not the sweet.
A quote is not an invoice
For a large order we will normally send a priced document up front so you have something to circulate internally or show a family member who is paying. That is a quote — it carries no tax particulars and it is not a bill. A proper GST tax invoice is issued separately against the order once it is confirmed and supplied.
Worth knowing because the two documents look similar and get confused, and only one of them belongs in your accounts.
Samples
For anything above a few dozen boxes, order one normally through the site first. It costs very little against the size of the order and it settles arguments about quantity and presentation before they become expensive.
